How does the casting call process go?
When you arrive, you will be greeted by one of our staff members. They will show you where to find us. We will be on the 5th floor of the building. When you find us, you will sign in and present a photo ID (to prove you are 18 or older); take a number; and be seated. Interviews are first come, first serve. They generally do not last any longer than 5 minutes – but you never know. Please be seated and be patient. You can bring food and drinks if you like and talk to our staff or other applicants while you wait. No one will be allowed to cut in line. Everyone must be interviewed in the order that they sign in.
When your interview is done – you are free to leave.
What should I bring?
A photo ID is the only thing you need to bring! Of course, we also want you to bring your personality. Head shots and a resume are great, but they are not required to be considered for a spot on our show.
How should I dress?
We do not require applicants to dress in a certain style. We do ask that you “dress to impress.” The best thing you can do is stand out. You don’t need to show up wearing tons of jewelry and a $500 dress, but you don’t want to show up in sweats and a t-shirt either. Wear something nice without being too casual – but don’t be afraid to be bold!
What are interviews like?
Interviews are usually around 5 minutes long and will be done with the director, producer, and photographer. A former cast member may pop in during some of the interviews. Don’t be intimidated! The process is pretty painless. All we want to see is your personality and your cooperation. We will ask you questions about your application that you submitted and other character related questions. Answer honestly.
What are we looking for?
We want to cast women with personalities that we think our viewers will find entertaining. If you were chosen to attend a casting call, that means there’s something about you that we like. When we meet with you, we’ll see if your personality will be a good fit for our show. The worst thing you can do is show up and give us a lot of “I don’t know’s” to our questions. Speak clearly and show your enthusiasm. If you’re excited about the possibility of being on our show- we will be too!
REMINDER; Know which date you are scheduled for. You may not be scheduled for a certain time. You will only be assigned a date. These will be the ONLY dates for the casting call for Local Ambition 5.0. If you miss your date, you will not be considered for our show. If you have any questions, please e-mail us @ firstname.lastname@example.org.
