Local Ambition VI Cast On Darryn Yates Show

Local Ambition VI host, Colie Lewis, and cast members, Nikki Serenity, Brandy “Sunni” Palmer, and Helaina Copeland were guests on tonight’s edition of the Darryn Yates Show on RiotRadioRocks.com.

Colie and the girls talked about our upcoming season (which premieres September 18); their personal struggles; and their future ambitions with Darryn and an intoxicated man dressed like a medieval knight. You can’t make this stuff up, folks.

Colie has a lot to talk about. Also, there’s a drunk man dressed a knight in the background.

Colie discussed the differences between the new season and the one she participated in. The big difference, to her, was that the drama is now staged. When Colie appeared on Local Ambition last year, all of the drama was unscripted. While this brought viewers something exciting to watch, it was emotionally difficult for the cast and the crew to work around individuals who really had problems with each other. On the current season of Local Ambition, it’s more fun to show up to set and act instead of legitimately having issues with someone. She also talked about the numerous opportunities that came to after she won Local Ambition 5.0 last year. Since winning, she has had several special effects makeup jobs and starred in music videos.

Brandy (or “Sunni”) was asked about her professional cuddling career. Darryn and the other guests seemed especially interested in the process involved in someone paying for her company. She said that there are misconceptions about her line of work and that everything is strictly platonic.

Nikki Serenity brought up being turned down at last year’s casting call and not being picked for Local Ambition 5.0. Instead of feeling sorry for herself or being upset, she threw herself into modeling and did her best. Her hard work paid off and she was chosen as a cast member on this year’s season.

Helaina talked about how she became interested in being in front of, and behind, the camera by working backstage as a make-up artist in her school plays. The experience taught her a lot about what goes into making a production. She also learned that grown men cry a lot when you put your finger near their eye in the make-up chair.

Darryn brings a unique, irreverent combination of comedy, music, and current events to listeners each Thursday night on The Darryn Yates Show. His show is one of several other programs under the Riot Radio umbrella.
